Dog Daycare

We'd love to have your dog as our guest!

Staying home all day while you are at work can be pretty boring for your canine companion.

While you’re away, your pet worries about your return, too, and that stress can lead to destructive behavior. Rather than leaving your four-legged best friend home alone, why not bring them to Wescott Acres Luxury Pet Resort for dog daycare?

Our Dog Daycare is available Monday through Saturday, and we provide each pet with a unique day that’s tailored to fit their individual needs. We strive to create a safe environment that is comfortable and emotionally supportive of your pet’s needs, and we are passionate about giving all of our guests a paws-itive experience. We are thrilled to provide dog daycare in Columbia, and we would love to have your canine companion as our guest!

We take the safety of the pets in our care very seriously, so each dog must first complete a trial day to ensure that they are a good fit for Daycare.

The Importance of Socialization

Proper socialization with other dogs and other humans is critical to having a happy, healthy, and well-adjusted pet. With so many people spending more time at home in 2020, your furry family member may now be home alone for long periods of the day for the first time in a while, and the stress of solitude may cause anti-social habits such as destructive chewing, persistent digging, excessive barking, or other signs of separation anxiety. Pets may also show signs of stress such as drooling, attempts to escape, and pacing.

If your pet is suffering from separation anxiety or simply the boredom of home isolation after many months of company, bring them to daycare with us! Daycare provides your loved one with the pack environment they are accustomed to, creating a trusted second home for your pet while you are away. Bringing your pup to daycare with us provides all the physical, mental, and social exercise your dog needs. Give us a call to learn more about the socialization benefits of daycare.

About Our Dog Daycare

Our Dog Daycare is available from 7am until 7pm Monday through Friday and 8am - 6pm on Saturday. A typical day includes outside morning play with running and ball and soft frisbee chasing. After some indoor rest, we’ll take your pet back outside for a relaxing walk, or maybe a game of tag.

As a new guest, they must complete a first day of daycare where your dog will slowly be introduced to the pack and take part in one-on-one and group play. We want our guests to be comfortable and will do everything we can to help them build positive relationships with their fellow daycare participants.

Keep in mind that the day’s activities will be tailored to your dog’s needs and your preferences. If your dog would rather hang out inside and relax, that’s totally fine! They can also enjoy our playground, go for a walk with one of our Caregivers… There are all sorts of options!

Our safety standards include a trial day for each new addition to our pack. We also have in-house policies and procedures in place to ensure safe movement within our facility.

Daycare Requirements

We require all of our guests to be in good general health and up to date on their Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, and Bordetella vaccines. Please bring their records with you when you check your pet in or ask your vet to email them to info@wescottacres.com

All guests over the age of 6 months old must also be spayed or neutered. All guests must also pass a trial day at our facility before coming to play at daycare.
